Default Long crank before start

My 2011 S80 3.2 is tanking a long time cranking before it starts. More so after it has sat overnight. Looking for thoughts on what it could be and the fix.
Thanks

common cause is that you have low fuel pressure at the start - usually points to the pressure sensor or something that can leak down pressure (ie injectors or other valves) over night. Try this experiment - when you first go to start, turn the key on to position 2( the running position before "start"). listen for the fuel pump - it should go on for a few seconds. go back to off then repeat 2-3 times. see if that builds pressure for a quick start...

Thanks I appreciate the quick reply, I will try that next time I have it sitting for a period of time. If that solves the problem would you first replace the pressure sensor? If so where is it located? and how much of a job is it to replace?

any signs of a puff of black smoke upon start up? that can indicate a leaky injector dripping fuel into the cylinder.

No black or smoke of any kind on start up. Just a long time cranking to start after sitting overnight. After that it start up fine. Where is the pressure sensor located?

Replace the fuel sensor and that worked for about three start ups now I’m back to a long crank and then if I stop and try to started again it turns right over on the second or third try. No weather problems when the car is running no noticeable exhaust. On the second or third attempt the car starts and sometimes will seem like it’s coughing for fuel. This only happens when the car has sat for a couple or three hours. Any suggestions?

Maybe it's just caused by the cold winter weather. Have to you checked the spark plugs?
