Default Looking at 2004 S80 2.9 for $16,900

http://www.volvoofdanbury.com/preown...TS92D841358873

I was recently in an accident with my old S40 and it was a total loss. I'm going to check this car out tomorrow.

Does anyone have any advice for me? It was serviced at this dealership and purchased etc, good service record, spotless inside and out. ~50k miles.

Any advice would be great I LOVED my 2001 S40 1.9T

If i was paying that much I would seriously consider an S60 instead... I guess it depends on what your looking for though but clearly size isnt much of a problem if you were in a s40 before...

I just referenced using your zip code and the car listings near you, you can get some pretty good s60 deals (both turbo and non)
eg this one.. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true

its turbo, slightly less mileage, cheaper and AWD... I know it isnt as luxurious as an S80 but im sure its a consideration...

Truth is I love my s80 but if I could have afforded a s60r that would definitely be my first choice..

nicolaselias,

Thanks for the research! I am interested in an S60 also. AWD is pretty important in this part of the country. I think if I can't get them to come down to closer to 15k than 17k, than I'll probably get an S60 for the same price somewhere else.

Thanks for the feedback!

I put a deposit on this car. I'll probably be picking it up tomorrow unless we are too far apart on final numbers. This car was awesome in a test drive and appears to be in relatively mint condition. It was purchased and serviced at the same dealership I'm purchasing it from.

Just for reference...

I bought my 2005 S80 2.5T with 34,000 miles on it in December for $16,300...

IMO, the price they are asking for on this one is too high.

I did get it down a bit. What state were you buying in? It seems tough here in CT to get a good price on something certified.

BTW love the car so far. Easily one of the nicest cars I've been in.
