Looking to buy S80 need input from forum!
I have found three used Volvo S80’s that I want to look at. I had a 2000 S80 in 2001 but did not keep that long. Want to get another to drive for next couple years.
1- 2008 S80 113,000 miles AWD T6 asking $6768. 2008 Volvo S80 T6 AWD 6-Speed Automatic with Geartronic 3.0L SI6 Twin Scroll Turbo Clean CARFAX. Recent
2-2010 S80 98,000 miles AWD T6 asking $6450
AWD, Heated leather seats, adaptive cruise control, as well as lane-departure, collision and driver fatigue warning systems, dual-zone climate control, leather, Bluetooth and a stereo with HD Radio and a USB port
3- 2010 S80 96,345 miles AWD T6 asking $9833. *Moonroof*, *Car Fax One Owner*, *AWD*, *Alloy Wheels*, *New Car Trade*, *Keyless Entry*. Odometer is 18026 miles below market average! We are the only true Automall in Northwest Ohio, and we are excited to provide quality sales and service for our great customers for years to come.Reviews:* Buyers who believe that functional luxury and state-of-the-art safety systems outweigh the inherent status appeal of a traditional prestige nameplate can expect to find their transportation and aspirational needs well met by any member of the S80 lineup.
What you all think? What should I be looking for and at?
Thanks
Brad

thanks for reply. For Ohio and Michigan that’s about the going prices for this car.

#1 is two years older so the market price is expected to be lower. #2 is the least expensive and $3K less than #3 so my question is why the diff? That's not to imply its a bad deal - if it all checks out, it could be a great deal. As to market price, the buyer should check KBB.COM and similar resources as well as do a search on national auto sales sites like Autotrader to see the range of asking prices. Keep in mind dealer pricing is 10-20% more than private sales.
When I did a quick look I saw 2010 S80s with under 100K miles to be in the 9500 range - putting #3 at market.

Well I bought a 2010 S80 AWD T6. 103,000 miles and has a good Carfax with timely service. It's in fantastic shape as the previous owner looks like he/she took really good care of it. The dealer I bought it from went over the whole car as the manager is a good friend and clued me into the car when they got it in.
