Default Low Coolant Message

I have a 2005 S80. Every now and then I get a message stating, "Low coolant, shut off engine" or something like that. Well, I check the coolant, and it's within proper levels....plus the water temp is right where it normally is.

When I'm driving around, that message will go on and off every now and then. No change in water temp or anything weird with the engine. It sounds like a dirty or faulty sensor to me....whattya think?

Hey I replaced my coolant temp sensor but still get the low coolant message does it need to be reset? I changed it because my mechanic split the sensors wire while changing the timing belt ,so i ordered a new one & can't get the message to clear

dont think it needs to be reset, the resistance should be within spec and the ECU should detect that now with the new sensor, try getting it reset still but i doubt it

is it intermittent or permanant ?

When I got that message, I had to have the radiator replaced.
