I am in a market for used S80 (or V70 if I can't find S80). Previously I was told that I should be looking for 2004 or newer model to make sure that I will not have the infamous ETM problem. I have also checked the recall data and it lists only 99-01 for S80 and 99-02 for V70. So what's the deal with that? Was the ETM problem specific to certain engines only? I could save some money if I went with 2003 or even 2002 (S80) but I want to be sure that it will not have the flawed ETM design.
