Default Need Help ASAP on replacing thermostat. 2000 2.9

Hi guys, sorry to "demand" help with a haste, but I'm desperate for time.

I'm changing my thermostat tomorrow and have basically only one shot at getting the tools nescessary to do this job.

I've got a pretty good feeling that my thermostat is under the timing cover.

I need to know if it is under the timing cover is it just the top cover that covers the camshafts and if so do I have to unbolt the engine mounts and jack the engine up to do this. If not what tools should I need? 10mm wrench and socket with extensions? Torx bits for the timing cover?

Anything special or out of the ordinary?

If somebody can paste the instructions from vladis or vadis or whatever it is called that would be a huge help. Thank you very much for you time.

Jonathan.

It is not under the top portion of the timing cover. You must remove the bolt on the side timing cover. You do not need to jack the car or play with the mount! I'm not sure if you should remove the aux belt.
