Default Need help...Wrong Mirror

OK, so here is my issue.

I have a 2005 S80 2.5T.
I smoked my drivers side mirror and ordered a replacement (glass only, part # 9203126 from fcpeuro.com). When I got the new mirror, it is not the same as what is currently on the car. I know that I had ordered the correct part listed for the vehicle and it was a genuine Volvo part.
1)The replacement that I got is slightly larger then the current mirror
2)The tabs for the heater elements are larger and in a different location then the current mirror (top corner on new, bottom corner on old).
3) The current mirror has 2 white plastic tabs on the back to go into slots in the mirror housing. No tabs on new one.

I don't know if the previous owner had replaced the whole mirrors (housing and all) out due to damage (both driver and passanger mirror have same mirrors), or if it is just the wrong mirror??

The only other clue I have on the current mirror is on the back of the mirror, on the black plastic is the numbers 3001 877. I know this isn't the actual Volvo part number, but it is all I have to go on as far as what is it?

Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas as far as what the actual mirror might be???

Any help would be appreciated.

weird..call fcp and tell them if that any numbers on the old mirror match with the data base they have (maybe it could be from old S80 models) and call the dealer and ask them same thing. You could try matching those numbers with an older S80

So... I called FCP and their web site WAS wrong. It listed the wrong mirror for the S80.
Their customer service was MORE then top notch. Issuing an RMA and paying for the return shipping without me even having to ask them about them covering the cost of shipping the incorrect one back.

They then transfered me over to a sale rep. who was able to find the correct mirror for my car in about 2 minutes (I gave him the VIN on the car and he was able to pull up the factory parts information for it).

New (and correct) mirror is on its way!!!

Nice - bought replacement mirror glass assembly from ebay a while back. Wrong size as the S80 99-03 is different than the 04-06.

The wrong one didn't have the heater tabs anyway, so sat in my shop for years; just tossed it the other day after replacing the correct glass with one from the junkyard.

It wasn't fogged up like the old original but now it's a bit wobly, so need to find out why it's shaking around on bumps in the road.
