One night I was driving and smelled an oil smell. The oil smell was coming through the vents and smelled so bad. I pulled over to see if the car was smoking underneath the hood, I even checked the oil stick. Saw nothing unsual. The next morningI looked on the drivers side and saw oil was leaking on the ground by the front tire. Looked under the car right ABOVE THE RIGHT TIRE and could see a whole lot of oil was above that area. A lot of dirt/gravel/trash,etcwas stuck up there too, I presume from me driving home the previous night, it came from the freeway.

A volvo mechanic came to my house after hours, and checked my boot. He said oil residue would be stuck to the boot if it was busted, he saw nothing. It was pitch black outside, and all we had was a little lamp, but he saw the boot and said itlooked clean. He also checked the transmission fluid, It looked fine. What could it be? Thanks is advance.
