I just bought a 2000 s80 t6. It seems to be leaking a little oil from the back side of the engine toward the firewall. Any ideas as to what it could be? Could oil be leaking out of the turbo?

 

Yeah most likely an oil return pipe gasket (turbo end) or oring (on block end) on one of the turbos, or lower down it would be the oil cooler.

 

How hard would those fixes be to do on my own? Im a member of an acura forum and im surprised that there isnt very much info on this forum. If anyone could help me with more info would be great.

 

They arent "hard" just awkard.

 

The kit is really cheep too, but it doesn't look terribly difficult. A lot less going on down there.

 

What is this kit you are talking about? As long as my oil doesnt get too low is it ok to run for a bit until I can get it fixed? Any help would be great. The car runs strong and beautifully and I dont wanna blow it up. Is there a repair manual out there that is recommended?
