My 01 s80 recently started doing this thing where i will be driving just fine then boom performance reduced error pops up and the car slows down to about 20 and the engine shakes.. I turn the car off for a couple minutes then turn it back on and its gone or sometimes it will say engine service required. Also i think it might be the struts but my front passenger side makes a clanking noise when i go over bumps.. Any suggestions.. Also i live in wyoming and the nearest volvo dealer is in ft collins colorado is there any where else i can take the car to get worked on or am i going to have to put the car on a trailer and drive the 4 hours to get this thing fixed?

 

Have the codes pulled from the computer.

 

You are gonna need to get your codes pulled. It may require more than a generic scanner. You may need to take it to the dealer. Check to see if your car is covered under an E.T.M. recall.
The noise is more likely to be sway bar or strut seat. which are both easy checks.
