Default PLEASE HELP Coughing Volvo

Re: 2001 Volvo S80 T6

Thanks for reading, Every once in awhile my car starts with a cough so bad it's not driveable, I thought it was my ETM so everytime I cleaned it, it started up nice and smooth and ran smooth, now when it starts coughing I just disconnect the battery and the car runs great for a few weeks... Can anyone please tell me what's going on? I've installed new MAF, new Plugs new fuel filter.. the only error code I get is P1152 which kind of points to a ETM. whatever it is disconnecting the battery seems to fix it..Thank you in advance for any advice.

It is NOT the ETM. P1152 points to a failed oxygen sensor, front, bank #2. The T6 is engineered systematically as two 3-cylinder engines bolted together. Turbo 1 is tied to bank 1 (cyl 1, 2, 3) while turbo 2 is tied to bank 2 (cyl 4, 5, 6). The front oxygen sensor being bad causes exactly what you are describing. The replacement is a big job, too. Call me at 205-541-9580 and I'll walk you through the procedure.

I had both fronts changed last year and it was indeed quite costly..I will give you a call later today if that's ok? Thanks!
