Default Popping sound in cold weather turning or going over bumps

Hi guys, this is my first question for my latest Volvo. I have an '07 S80 and everytime the weather gets below 60ish, there is a popping sound that comes from the right front suspension when I make a sharp turn or go over a bump (i.e. backing out of the driveway, etc.). It sounds like an issue with the strut to me, but I thought I ask in case there is something else that is weather related that could also be the issue. Can anyone verify that it is most likely the strut or could it be something else?
Thanks

Chances are that you have a spring seat going out or maybe control arm. Likely the bushing is a little loose and making the popping sound. I have the same issue in my 850 when it's below 45 degrees.

I would say either the upper coil seat is busted or the upper strut mount bearing is shot. Might even be a bad strut seal causing it to give out under load and bottoming out. Pop the hood and push down on the front fender on each side and see if it is quick to rebound or if it floats (bad strut). If the rod separates from the upper mount then busted coil seat.
