POWER STEERING SER REQ

I get this message POWER STEERING SER REQ it comes and goes. When it shows up I notice when I make a turn the steering gets hard or stiff. I have not pulled any codes yet.

Have you checked the fluid level in the reservoir?

Not yet. But the symptoms you are having are typical of low fluid level.

The steering rack may be going bad. When it does the Dealer will need to replace it. They need to put a non electronic rack in there and download software.
