Default Problems... Answers Anyone?

Where to begin...

Ok so first off I have a display warning for "Emissions System Service Required", I am told that the two O2 sensors on the left bank are bad, no biggie. But I also started getting a "Fix Engine Next Service" message intermittantly, I am unsure of what that means so I had a friend who is a Nissan Mechanic take a look at it and the code indicated a vacuum leake so we trobuble shot that down to the CBV. It seems to be leaking boost pressure excessively arround 2-2.5k rpm, and causessome surging issues. It makes an interesting and obnoxious fart-sucking noise, he said moslikely the diaphram is torn so I ordered a dual piston replacement from Forge Motorsport, that should be here this week.

Has anyone heard of the CBV going bad? I am going to try cleaning the Mass Air Flow Sensor and O2 sensors before replacing them... thank god for the instructions found in this forum.

So here's the question I am losing quite a bit of oil between oil changes and have a nice spot in my driveway I cleaned the bottom of the motor and have concluded the oil on the block is residual comming from a vent tube of some type on the right hand side of the block just above the oil pan and by the filter. The line is solid with a rubber hook hose on the top of it which vents to the atmosphere, what the hell is this line for? Is it the drain for the oil trap? I am losing 1-1.5 QT between oil changes and it seems to be comming from this line, is this not excessive? If it's supposed to dump this much should I just install an Oil Catch Tank to keep things clean and see exactly how much is draining out?

Also I have a "Transmission Service Required" message flagging as well, the tranny is new less than 5k on it since install. But it seems to be over serviced and I haven't added any fluid to it. Does this light just mean a flush and filter change? What are the service intervals on the tranny? Since it does seem over serviced quite a bit should I just drain out the excess and see if the fault clears?

Oh and where can I pick up one of the turbo control modules that people are replacing to fix the surging problem? If at all possible not from the dealership since I am currently stuck in Germanywhere evrything is in Euro and costs about 2x as much as in the states.

Damn I have never had such a pain in the *** before that requires fixes only the dealer can do... bastards.

Volvo does not indicate trans intervals, the Oil Trap is on the front of the Engine, if the car is a Turbo and oil is leaking from this so called vent tube, your prolly describing the turbo drainback tubes, in this case they need to have their seals replaced. (fun job i may add) what the hell is a CBV? control boost valve? otherwise known and Turbo Controll valve? locted on the Airbox?

Compressor bypass valve(CBV)
In the CBV case, pressurised air is returned to the turbo compressor inlet for reuse, instead of being dumped to atmosphere. The bypass valve is open under normal low-load engine running conditions, and closes firmly when positive (boost) pressure is present in the inlet manifold (or plenum chamber). When on-boost and changing gear (throttle lift-off), a sudden lower pressure condition is created in the manifold and the valve is pulled open again, directing pressurised air back to the turbo inlet.[*]Blow-off valve(BOV) / Dump Valve / Vent valve
This valve type features an adjustable spring design (spring in compression) to keep the valve closed under idle, cruise and boost conditions (eg 0.5 bar). Only at sudden throttle lift-off (eg 0.8 bar) does the valve momentarily open to vent / dump the pressurised air directly to atmosphere through a specially designed orifice (and wooshtssh).

Here is the replacement I installed from FORGE MOTORSPORT. I got mine in black so it wouldn't stand out so much when I take the car through inspeciton.
