02 S80 T6 Surging
I was reading on these forums and found a post about the valve and possibly the throttle body. It runs just fine goin down the highway gets about 27-30 miles per gallon, however if I slam the gas it surges or pulses I should say...I just bought this vehicle with 42000 miles. Just a couple questions below...
Is the software upgrade a free deal?
How much is the turbo valve to replace?
how much is the throttle body?
Also my rear left door seems to think it's open sometimes i open and shut it and it goes off...but I will be goin down the road and it just comes on, any ideas as to what's causing this?

Thanks for the input both of you, and yes I quoted a fix for the control valve at about $75 fixed. The door thing I was talking about was the sensor goes off and the computer thinks the door is open when it's not. I may have a wiring problem to attribute to the door sensor as my rearview mirror has no power whatsoever and it's supposed to have autodim and seatbelt lights.

No nono the door locks just fine, the sensor just thinks the door is open sometimes if I hit a bump or at random. Has nothing to do with the door not locking, it locks and unlocks just fine as far as I know. I was just thinking that possibly the two could be related as it's random and has to do with wiring most likely.

But you don't understand what I am explaining.
The switch that tells the computer that the door is open and to turn the lights on is in the door lock assembly.
It is all one piece.
They are very common to go bad It all stems from the door locks getting lubbed like the old cars.
Everyone lubes the locks when doing oil changes.
That wipes out the switches in the assembly over time.
Causing the problems: Saying the door is open when it isn't,The door locking then unlocking by itself,The locks not working at all.
Hopefully I cleared it up some for you.
