Default A question foe tech or anyone who might know

Hello to everyone,
I have a 99 t6 and it just started to have a non steady idle and was wondering if anyone or Tech might know. Sorry if I insulted anyone but Tech seems to know tons about the car. Also after it starts and i drive then shut the car off and restar it later is starts then dies restart again it stays running could this be caused by the idle problem?????? Thanks and i hope I can can get a possible reason...

I would try cleaning the throttle body first and see if that helps.

It could be a bad ETM. Volvo extended the warranty on them in the USA after a lawsuit. The carbon contact strips inside wear out and the idle goes screwy. Solution is to replace the ETM. Costs $1000 if you have to pay for it. If your ETM has been replaced it will have a yellow sticker on the front of it. See: http://www.etmsettlementdocuments.com/2008/index.html
