my 99 s80 2.9 has weird problems the car has a mind of its own. sometimes when i rip it, i open the hood and oil has jumped all over the engine and intkae(grill piece) and around, the oil pin is poped up and it seems thats where its coming from. what could this be from? another problem is when my brake pedal is fully released i hear air leaking fom somwhere, wheni press the brake it stops. EXTREMELY irritating sound, its like slowly realsing air from a baloon.

I had the brake pedal problem, where i heard an air noise/ hisssing comming from it....
1.) they bled the breaks, to see if there was air in the system, and that didnt work

Solution: the brake booster/master cylinder had to be replaced.

 

Sounds like you have 2 problems.

1.Clogged vent box of something in the vent system.

2.Bad brake booster.(causing the noise inside the car)

 

well the braking is not so bad, i open the panels under the steering wheel and clean the pipe behind the pedal and the sound quiets down for a few months

any one know about the oil?

 

Like I said above for the oil which you had as your first quiestion sounds like a plugged vent box or hose somehwere.

As Tech mentioned, a clogged vent box or vent hose somewhere.

Also, the brake booster is on its way out.

so are my brakes going to fail one day? becuase its my moms car and i dont even want to imagine it

 

Maybe eventually they will fail. The pedal will get really hard.
