I have not tried anything yet with Vadis. I have an elmscan ISO interface box I am eventually going to try to get Vadis to work using it. I have not had time to mess with it though.

I thought the elmscan wasn't a j2534 compliant pass through?

What is the difference between the VADIS and VIDA? I have the Vadis, but most of the volvo compatible j2534 pass throughs specifically say Volvo VIDA, but don't say anything about Vidas. Are they the same thing?

Vida is a web based program that you have to pay for to use.
Vadis is stored on the computers hard drive.

GOT IT!!!

Vida2010b off ebay, and Cardaq-Plus works!!!

Any old j2534 should be able use all the included tools.

Beware Vida2010 does not like to install on anything other than (xp sp3 x86) however, I am running Win7x64 with "xp mode" because regular compatibility modes don't work. "Xp mode" is a free virtual machine software released by microsoft for businesses that depend on software that is incompatible with windows7. LIKE VIDA!!!

VIDA or VADIS? I have VADIS running on Win7 64bit in "compatibility mode" as opposed to XP mode. I cant imagine VIDA being less up to date.

Vida. The install literally had a problem with the OS version. I tried compatibility mode on the install file, and all the system check modules, no dice. The VIDA suite is amazing for troubleshooting. I only had one thing to troubleshoot but I could see and try all the troubleshooting options available.

NO JOKE these cars are so wired that with VIDA you can control the seat position motors from your laptop. Almost anything that the ecu controls can be toggled on or off like the purge valve that is throwing my OBD codes.

Trouble shooting works something like toggling the purge valve and watch the pressure values on the laptop which obviously didn't change indicating a problem. However I could hear the fuel tank leak when I toggled it, so I knew the valve works.

Default Compatible with 2006 models?

I just purchased a 2006 S60 and was wondering if these software Vadis or Vida cover this newer model? I read somewhere that the free download for Vadis is up to 2005 models. Thanks for your help in advance.

Anyone know what exactly the following codes for '02 s80 t6 mean?

P0422 catalyst
P0432 catalyst

I've been told that they mean the cats need replacing but also might just need to replace the 02 sensors because they're in the cats. I'm not sure what exactly is going on but the check engine light comes on then goes off soon after. It was deleted when my friend hooked up the diagnos. I'm not sure if it will come back on or not. At any rate, I'm not losing power and seems to be running fine. Just don't want to have to shell out 500+ for 2 new cats, any ideads?

Any misfiring at all?
It might just be an O2 sensor.

Find someone that can read real time Data and compare both front sensors and see what they are doing.
