S80 Electrical Problem...
[X(] We've got the new to us S80 running nicely, but from time to time we experience a REALLY goofy problem; maybe someone out there can assist.
After driving - doesn't matter if it's 5 minutes or 45 - we'll park the car, shut it down, and attempt to lock the doors using the keyless locking system. When the system is OK, the keyless works fine, however, when this problem occurs, the keyless won't work, and we have to lock the doors using the buttons at the drivers side, or use the key in the door.
Now the REALLY goofy part: Upon returning to the car, the A/C is blowing (obviously warm air) and if we insert the key, start the car, and immediately shut the car off, the A/C goes off, and the keyless works!
ANY help on this one would be greatly appreciated, as my son is taking the car to school some 1100 miles away, and although he is extremely bright scholatically, he doesn't take after his Dad when it comes to fixing cars...
Thanks in advance

Not sure about the keyless problem but the AC is working normally.
From the owner's manual:
From the owner's manual:
Passenger compartment blower
Approximately 50 minutes after the ignition is turned off, the blower may come on automatically, and run for seven minutes, to remove condensation in the A/C evaporator.

The keyless entry for these cars "can" be fickle at times. I've got a 2000 S80 that doesn't have great range with the remote entry and locks, I thought it was the batteries but after changing those the range doesn't get any better. I just chalked it up as a "no biggie" to me, as long as I'm close to the car it almost always works.
And as stated by billofdurham, the ac blower thing is completely normal.
