I picked up some s80 headlights, from a newer model s80, I think it came off of a 2006 volvo s80, and I have a 2000 s80. Anyways, I got a great deal on these, and I would like to throw them on my s80, just to make it look a little meaner, well not so mean but I think it'll look cool, cause they got a slightly darker look to them and the design is a little different. I was gonna change one of my headlights cause it always kept some water inside of it every time I washed it, and decided to go with the newer look and much cheaper than I thought. These are equipped with a HID system and the connections are different. So my question is what will I need to make this convertion and to make these things work. Thanx

 

The best way to do this is to keep the 2006 headlights, get rid of the rest of the 2000 S80. Then what you wanna do is go find yourself a 2006 that's missing headlights. Put 'em together and bam! yer done!

HAHA, I know exactly what you thinking, but this is my kinda like a project car haha, so I work on it from time to time just to kill some time doing it. And these things were so damn cheap that I had to get them, and now I wanna throw them on and hook them up. So this might sound funny and I know it is, considering how reliable this car is haha not, but hey why not play with it.

 

i never heard of anyone doing it. the part numbers, and VADIS drawings give no good idea if it's possible. you're probably in the best position to judge fitment issues. would the shape fit into the nose of the year you have?

 

I know they will fit, I'm just concerned about the electrical.
