S80 steering wheel replacement
Hi - I'm thinking of replacing my steering wheel as it's quite worn & I can get one cheaply. Is this a simple job? My S80 is a 1999UK 2.9 SE Auto (non turbo) with cruise control - it's done 136,000 mls.
Also how easy is it to clean the ETM? I've heard it's worth doing on high mileage S80's.
Any help appreciated - thanks.

The steering wheel is pretty easy to replace.
You should need a long T-30 bit to loosen the air bad.
Then it is a screw to remove the steering wheel.
But there is a little screw in the steering wheel that needs to go into the SRS contact reel to lock it into place.

Thanks Tech - how do I get to the torx? Presumably it's under the central cover but how does that come off?
Is it a hidden screw under the Volvo badge or do I just prise it off carefully?
Also is there any risk of setting the airbag off?
The seller or the steering wheel states itdoesn't come with RTI - what is the RTI?
Thanks for your help

If you look with a small mirror at the back of the steering wheel you should see the holes that you slide the torxes bit into.
