My purchase of the s40 t4 was thwarted.
Now I'm still looking, I found others but the state did not conform to me, some taking oil and filling the spark plugs, others automatic.
Today i went to see a s80 t6 2000 I read a lot of bad things and some good things, people with a thousand problems, people who are super happy.
The car physically looks divine, a very good care, the box says that it is fine.
What do you think? I hope someone sells a s40t4, or s60 that is difficult in my country since there are very few.
Or is the s80 very troublesome?

The 99-04? s80 t6 or just 6 used a GM transmission that was very prone to failure. It was not designed to handle the torque of the turbo engine. The one in my 2004 xc90t-6 lasted 22000 miles. Was replaced under warranty.

S80 is a beautiful car - but a bad transmission will total a 22 year old Volvo.

Find out when the transmission was last replaced if you are considering purchase (hopefully for less than what KBB.com thinks it might be worth - about $1700)

 

Thanks, I think I'm going to let it go, I didn't find anything like solving the issue of the box and I have a heavy foot, I'm going to break it for sure. I'll keep waiting for some other volvo to appear, thank you
