Im considering the purchase of a 2000 Volvo S80 and i was wondering if the LED tail lights from the 04 would fit the older years? also the headlights too?

 

I have and 04 and do not have LED's in either my headlights or tail lights. Perhaps you are thinking of another year.

A base understanding is this. 99-03 have somewhat interchangeable parts. 04-06 have somewhat interchangeable parts. 07 to present have somewhat interchangeable parts.

Anything big like going from factory Halogens to factory Xenons will require software updates. In fact most electrical changes will require software updates.

 

no they started the LED tail lights in 04 and went till the new body style came out... i dont think all s80 had them. they were options.. the hid headlamps had a black housing... and the led tails were a strip on the bottom. i figured out they are interchangable and i just would have to program the system to adapt them...

I would love to upgrade the tail lights. Is this something I would have to have the deler reprogram? Is it plug and play?
