Default S80 throttle surges and lags

Hi Tech, My 2000 S80 has been so great a car, that I haven't been on the forum in some time. A while ago it started doing minor erratic bucks while driving. The only code was a minor evap leak. I could live with that. These have just now become almost constant unsettled surges and lags. Obd code is a P1633. Launch scanner reports an ABS control module communication fault and brake pedal sensor failure. Now the car display is warning of a STC service required. It had the electronic throttle software done 2 years ago. Where should I begin? Thanks, Eric J

I also have a 2000 S80 with about 129k on it. I was having the occassional bucking and random RPM increases. My check engine came on a couple weeks ago and I took it to the dealer for my 125k maintenance. My paperwork says ECM 9160 ETM Fault with estimted $1107 to repair. So of course i'm 6 months out of warranty. I really need to learn how to start fixing this car myself because I'm afraid the repairs are going to start adding up. They said the car looks great beyond that.
