I just bought a Volvo S80 '2000' yesterday and today as I am driving the "Service Engine" light and a "Service Transmision Urgent" Message came on. I checked the fluid for level and color and it appears to be fine. The car is also handing normal, nothing out of the ordinary. Any one had this problem before? The vehicle has it's service records and all seems to be to date. It has 98,000 miles.Please help. I bought this vehicle for my wife thinking it was the safest vehicle for the family.

 

If you bought it from a dealer, bring it back. If not, call the person you bought it from. Auto Zone can pull the codes for you from what I hear.

 

Auto zone can only pull engine codes I think.
I would call who you bought it from and get it looked at.

 

I had the same problem once after hitting a serious bump or pothole.
The dealer said it shoud reset it self.
Did it?
