Default Setting Garage Door Opener on Visor

I have a 2000 S80 with three buttons on the driver's side visor with which you can set a garage door opener code. But mine don't seem to be working. I push the "learn" button on my garage door opener head (Sears Craftsman/Diehard using 315 mhz), and push the buttons on the visor (I've tried them all), but the code doesn't get set. The visor has power to it to run the vanity mirror light, so there are no batteries to change. I see nothing in the manual about it. My three buttons have no lights on them to indicate they transmitter has learned the code. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.

I recently encountered a similar problem and couldn't solve it. I already thought that I would need to take out a loan for new doors since I had nowhere to put the car, and I don't have a fence around the house. A good friend of mine advised me to contact a garage door repair service advantagegd.com. The next day, the master came to me and very quickly solved this problem and set up my doors. I still use my doors and they still work perfectly, even though it's been 4 months. If you have any problems with garage doors, they can always help you.

Your opener uses rolling codes, your S80 Homelink was made before that technology was used. You can buy a simple "box" that will accept the Volvo signal and convert it. New doors wouldn't have fixed it as they would use rolling codes too. Cheaper than your guy, I bet.

But garage door isn't linked with the S80 that's the reason i called garage door repair technician to link it with the door.

You have several problems'
1) You are replying to an old thread instead of making a new one.
2) You didn't read all the replys. Your HomeLink most likely is 2 old to work with new door.
What is the year of your car? og your opener?
3) You give no history of what you did trying to link it
4) You don't say if it was resolved or not.

FWIW- I've yet to see a technician needed to link the two.
