I've seen some old threads on this and thought it may be worth a more recent query...

How can I get the srs airbag service light reset?

I had to get my car jumpstarted the other day and get a new battery and evidently tripped this light in the process. My OBDII scans do not pick up a trouble code and the reset does not clear the srs airbaig message.

I found a local indie shop that works on various Euro cars that can/will reset it for $50.
Sound reasonable??? I found a volvo abs reset tool online for $175 so unless this is going to happen often, I'm thinking let the shop do it unless there is some other trick to resetting it.

 

I tried about everything then gave in and bought a BSR reset tool for about $400. This was the cheapest tool I could find.

Before you spend the money on a tool, please make sure the tool will do what you want it to.
