Starter Possessed?

Starter Possessed?
2006 Volvo S80 purchased used 2 years ago.
Problem: Occasionally will not start. I turn the key, lights, etc. come on but the engine will not turn over. I open the hood, TOUCH the wires leading to the starter, turn the key and the engine starts. Yes, all I have to do is TOUCH the wires where they meet the starter.
I've had the dealer look at it and I've spoken to mechanic who specialize in Volvo. None has a clue.
This problem happened several times after I first got it. The dealer removed, inspected, and reinstalled the starter and it didn't happen again until 2 months ago. Now it's happened twice in the last week.
Anyone else hear of a similar problem or do I have the only possessed car in the world?
