Default Stuck driver side power locks

I have an issue with my power lock on the driver side. My power lock goes down but it will not unlock or go up. The locks makes a the same noise that it makes to go up but does it twice and it doesnt move. I took the door panel off and the lock isn't obstructed and moves freely when i open it manually. What could be the issue? And, how difficult would it be to fix it myself?

Default Door lock

First make sure the switch is not corroded by flushing it with WD-40 and working it repeatedly (also works with window switches) if not then I would say it is probably the solenoid that activates the lock, it may just be worn out or weak and needs to be replaced but try cleaning the contacts first to make sure.

Are you talking about the actual switch on the door or something behind the door? Cause when I hit the unlock switch it locks but doesnt unlock. The motor make a sound as if it is trying to go up but doesn't

I was talking about the actual door switch but it sounds like maybe your actuator is not fully connected to the lock inside the door and that does involve pulling the door panel off.
