Default T6 2005 hid beam too high after bulb replacement??

Replaced both d2r hid bulbs and 1 balast but now beam is way too high and down adjustment is maxed out. Low beam bulb failure still remains but both bulbs come on. Could bulbs be put in upside down, or not inserted far enough into the metal casing?? Any suggestions appreciated..

Bulb location is critical, certainly. They are indexed so that they'll go in only a certain way, and they have to be correct.

On the S70's they are bad to pop out of the adjuster. It's a little ball and socket arrangement. When you push on the reflector sometimes they will just disengage and then it's shining way too high. If this happens, you can probably snap it back in by removing the bulbs to give you a spot to pull.
