Default Timing belt service for car with low mileage

My 2002 S80 2.9L has only 30000 miles after 5.5 yrs. Should I have the timing belt service done when I hit 70000 miles (may be by the year 2012)? Or should I have it done in 2 year (2010)? Or soooooner? My other Volvo 95 960's tensioner/pulley came off after 66000 miles (10 yrs), caused major damage. Engine replacement + labor cost $3000+. It happened because I follow the manual of the 960 which recommended to have it serviced at 70000 miles. Since I still have both cars I may end up putting about 3000 miles on each car per year, so it will take forever for the S80 to hit 70000 miles. By the way the S80's manual state that 105000 miles or 10 yrs whichever come first. Please advise.

Have the belt inspected.
We see alot of belts go bad at 70k on the S80 or they start cracking at about 5 years.

I think that after what you went through with the other Volvo, you should get the belts done and that way you know what condition they are in.

Most of the belt manufacturers recommend that you have it changed after seven years if you do not hit the mileage guide.
