My transmission Failure, ABS Brake Failure Stop Safely ASAP and most idiot lights came on after my 99 s80 stumbled momentairily acting like it stalled, but didn't. Trans. Light was first,I pulled over for a moment and started to drive again. Trans felt real sluggish taking off. Then ABS Brake Failure Stop Safely came on with all the abs dash lights, check engine and traction control lights were on. I dropped the trans. pan and found a small 1/4"-5/16 piece of bolt in pan with what turned out to be pieces of the cage frame. $2700. later AAMCO rebuilt my trans and rebuilt my torque converter. Now ABS Brake failure stop safely still lit with 5 idiot lights and no cruise, overdrive,heated seats, odometer, no traction control and a CODE of P1633. Beings how it has a GM 4T transmission but the 1633 code in GM would be IGNITION problem, but it volvo. Any good ideas would be greatly appreciated!

 

Sounds like the computer memory has been wiped. They probably disconnected the battery incorrectloy. That would mean its a software programming issue. Go to the dealer and reload the software.

P1633 is the code for the Speed Sensor.

If it still has the original ABS module I'd be very suspect of it.
