This may be a silly question but would this by chance fit my 1999 S80 T6?

The fitment guide shows a lot of GM vehicles with the 4t65e and I was wondering if there was anything different about the filters on the Volvo. It looks a lot if not identical to this:

Any insight would be greatly appreciated because I like anybody else don't mind saving some money if the part will work as well.

If its compatible with a 2001 v6 Chevy malibu, then thats the right filter!

PS. SERIOUSLY consider installing an in-line magnefine magnetic filter as well... For $16 I promise you won't regret it..

 

Those Magenfine filters look interesting. I looked at the part in person at my local O'reilly Auto Parts and compared to the one that their computer says mine should take, the WIX is actually the correct fit and about $8 less. Yay! I'll probably be doing a flush next week.

I think you should do both filters.. To me thats the best bet..
