Default Trying to figure out how much I can get for my Volvo!

I own a 2004 Volvo s80, it has 190,000 miles on it, but the transmission is ruined. It would need a new one to get it to start working again. My questions include what would be my best option of getting rid of it? If I was to junk it how much money could I get for it? Or should I just sell it for parts? Any help would be greatly appreciated because I really need to get this thing out of my driveway.

Call various junk yards and pull-a-part places, they will come out and tow it away and pay you. I just sold a dead 850 for $450.00 you should get at least that much for an s80 due to the weight. You can probably get more if you take it to the junk yard, but this way you don't have to mess w/ it

By the way, I don't suppose the radio works in the AM band does it. Mine doesn't and I could use a good radio. I like talk radio and I am about to go crazy listening to NPR!

Last I saw, Pull-A-Part was paying $475 for a complete car (no parts missing) Don't know if you have one near you. Junk yards seem to pay less, especially if they have to come get it. You may just want to put it on Craigslist. Seen a few with bad transmissions going anywhere from $600 to $900
