Hi, first post, ect....

I've been searched and have read every thread here on this topic but still do not have a definitive answer to the following question:

If I acquire a VCT2000 to use with the VADIS software, will I be able to program or upgrade software in a 2000 S80 T6?

I don't have a specific need to do this right now, but I'm planning for the future. Between my brother and I we have 3 s80 T6s and we figured that getting a VCT2000 would be worth it.

Alternate question: What can we NOT do with a VCT2000? Say we replace the trans in my car, does having the VCT2000 give us the tools to get it back on the road without a trip to the stealership?

You will not be able to upgrade software.
If you replace the tranny you can put it in learn mode then drive it to get the computer set.
You can turn daytime running lights on and off.
There is alot you can do with it.
