Default Volvo 2004 S80 T6 battery drain

Hello Volvo Techs,

We have owned this vehicle since December. It needed some engine work that my mechanic husband fixed. The battery has a drain on it. We have purchased a new one at first thinking that was the issue. When we drive it around it's fine but after it sets for a few days it had to be jumped. He has checked the trunk light, glove box ect., and so far has narrowed a drain down to the fuse box under the dash (the computer)and the part here in California is over $600. My concern is what if that's not even it? ! Does anyone out there have any suggestions? This is not our main car. That's how we noticed the drain we were driving the car and then we parked it to drive our other car for a change!

Thank you so much!

This isn't a forum issue, so you might have better luck in the S80 forum.

How did he narrow it down to the CEM?

HI there and sorry about posting in the wrong place! Well it turned out to be the siren for the alarm was draining the battery. The siren was bad. We took it to the dealership. We just removed the fuse. The horn for the alarm still works fine!

thank you very much for your reply!

Default Fuse

Hi the fuse is #38 in the drivers side fuse box. Bummer that you had replaced all of those batts & alts! Maybe you can return at least 1 of the alternator's. I hope this fixes your issue!
