Default Windsheild Scratches

About a month after I bought my S80 I decided to get new wiper blades. When I was putting the new ones on I noticed scratches that the old ones had made. It is very annoying to look at it even though it is on the passenger side. Is there something that I can use to get rid of them or do I need a new windsheild. Also if that is the case anyone know how much it would be for a new windsheild?

Thanks!

I think some glass places can polish the windsheild and get the scratches. Not 100% sure but if you can check with one.

Do you live in Florida? If so, by state law, if your windshield is broken the insurance company must pay 100% of the replacement cost.

That is with more than basic coverage.
Unless my insurance company keeps lying to me.
I only have basic coverage they keep telling me no.

True. You must have comprehensive or collision coverage.

No I have friend's that live in FL but I am up in IN. The windshield is not cracked or shattered it is just really badly scratched. The windshield wipers that were on the car when I bought it, had metal frayed pieces on it so when I decided to get new blades, that is when I noticed the scratches. I wish Indiana had something like that... I'll have to check cause I know that is someone has a cracked windshield they get pulled over but I am not sure if the insurance companies replace it for you or if the driver has to.
