Windsheild washer squirter - bad aim
I have a 2000 S40 with about 175K miles on it. Lately when I engage the windshield washer fluid squirters, the stream of fluid hits my windshield pretty high up and as a result doesn't sufficiently clean the entire viewing area of my windshield.
Does anyone know if the squirters can be adjusted or if mine are probably just old and in need of replacing? They seem to be pretty cheap to replace. Only like 7 or 8 bucks from IPD. If I need to replace them, they look like they just pull straight out and the new one pops right in. Can someone confirm this? Do I just yank the old one out with a pair of pliers or is there some kind of mechanical connection that needs to be detached first from under the hood?
Thanks for your help.

Might need to be replaced, but maybe try this first:
