Windshield wiper mechanism

Windshield wiper mechanism
Someone just bended my right side wiper and probably also destroyed the mechanism... [:@] The problem is the wipers keep this annoying sound, like using the wipers on dry windshield, even if i lift the wipers of the windshield so that they do not actually touch anything. It sounds like the noise would come from the "axles" coming up from the motors or mechanism working the wipers.
Anyone happen to have the 3D images / drawings of the mechanism? Is it easy to bend it back to its place or do i need to contact my isnurance company and go to the dealer and wait for 3 months and still be unsatisfied with the job?
Anyone, pls help...

RE: Windshield wiper mechanism
I have never had to go into the wiper assy. on the S80's.You can remove the plastic assy. that covers the assy. and take a look at the damage and take it from there.Thats what I would do look at it first and see how bad it is before I did anything else. There should only be some clips or maybe screws that hold the cowl cover on.

RE: Windshield wiper mechanism
Just got back from the garage. Opened the mechanism - as you said it was only attached with some clips (insane clips thou ) and took the cowl cover off. The mechanism seemed unharmed, the only thing that was causing the problem was the bent axle of the side passanger wiper arm. This caused the whole mechanism to live slightly from side to side when operated and the drivers side axle kept the noise... Used a small hammer and some rubber as cover to bend it back straight... now seems to work as good as a new one. It seems that there lives after all a small mechanic in me .
