Xenon headlight conversion

If you go with the factory option, you'll need new headlights, the HID ballasts, and a software update at minimum. If you go aftermarket, you'll be able to keep your current lights, etc. I am in the process of converting mine to HID (2005 S80 2.5T) with the OEM non-HID lamps, but I'm having some problems with the software side of things disabling the lights (I'm working with John at SharpHID).

Software issues have to be resolved at the dealership, there's nothing a general user can do to change the software, but there are ways to trick the system, which is the problem I'm dealing with. There are units called Bulb Out Cancellers and they plug in line with aftermarket HID systems and they are suppose to eliminate the issue I am having, unfortuantely for some reason they are not.
John has been great to work with, although we have yet to find a solution (we've tried two sets of Bulb out Cancellers, swapping the ballasts, etc, nothing will keep the lights from being shut off by the system).
