Climate Fan on 1998 s90
Hi. My inside fan doesen't blow on any switch position. Only airflow I get is when moving. There is power to the control unit as the AC will cool as the air passes thru the evaperator when I'm driving (moving). But, when I'm stopped thereis no air flow. I suspect the control unit being bad. Does anyone have anything that may help me? Thanks in advance... I love this site as I have found wonderful and detailed troubleshooting here.

When in Manual, i.e. turn the Air Direction Selector to upper vents, and turn the Fan Speed **** into all 4 position, does the fan/blower work accordingly? Regardless if idle or in gear.
If no, you need to get to the blower and jumper it. If blower works at Maximum speed (which it should), then you can troubleshoot the Blower Control Module.
Yes, The ECC units are known sometimes to act erratically, basically due to bad solder joints. You can take it out, check it with a magnifying glass and re-solder the cracked joints.
