Default Crazy Cost For Repair

So, sadly my less than two month old S90 had some ??????? back into it in a parking lot, causing a scrape to the front cowling, blemished headlight and a small nick on the chrome piece.

I get the estimate to repair and although it thought it would be rather high, I was shocked at the four grand estimate. they are replacing the headlight the chrome piece, and repairing the from cowling. The headlight alone for the part is 2300 dollars.

Crazy costs. be careful, at least the other persons insurance is paying but still.

That is expensive, but it is, after all, Thor's Hammer, so...

Those headlights also have the "turning" feature, right? It used to be that crazy taillight lenses were super-expensive, now headlight units are almost as complex as econocar engines.

You're also competing with the new cars coming down the lines for parts. The price is likely high to pay for all the overtime the vendors are churning to get the parts to the line for these new models and provide parts to the dealers. My bet is that in another year or so that 2300.00 headlight will be substantially less.
