Default Engine Oil

I have a 1998 S90 and I'm in need of an oil change. The problem is I lost my owner's manual so I do not know what kind of oil my car requires nor do I know how much oil I need. Can you guys help me out and I'd also appreciate it If you guys would recommened your favorite oil and filter. Thanks.

Unless you are in the far north most recommend a 5W 30 oil. Filter wise either a Volvo or Bosch filter. In terms of oil I only use full synthetic in mine. Good brands are Mobil 1, Pennzoil, Valvoline, Quaker State, Amzoil, Castrol. If it is a high mileage car then go ahead and use their high mileage forumla.
