Default Help with '98 V90 Console Removal & Climate Control...

The Climate Control directional selector (dash, floor, defrost, etc.) turns freely to all of the selections but only blows air out of the dash-top defrost vents along the front window.

I need help with the Console removal (can't figure out how to get the arm rest compartment off so I can remove the screws that hold the center console pieces down.

After that I need help on the whole Climate Control module repair or replacement. Is it electronically controling the divertion or is it perhaps cable actuated?

Thanks!
Bud

I'm not sure how to get the center console out but you should have torque screws in the rear under the ash tray, torque screws in the front under the ash tray, torque screws under the armrest (remove the felt panel in the arm rest).

As for the AC control unit. It sounds like you have a bad control unit in the dash. You will need to remove the stereo (have the radio code handy - you should not have to unplug it). The wood grain pulls out with clips, then you will have a few torque screws to remove.

I got all the torque screws out except for the bottom of the arm rest. As far as the felt panel in the arm rest, that's the part I can't figure out. Does it peel out or is there some trick to removing some kind of liner? I'd hate to destroy it...

Usually there is a little panel in there that has a little slot that allows you to pull it out. I'll go check mine.
