I own a '95 940 turbo wagon that I purchased new (220k miles and going strong). Own a '04 XC70 with lots of options (90K). Looking to trade it and go to XC 90 (probably an '07 or '08 with 25ish K miles). The 940 has been flawless; the XC 70 has been an expensive venture (DEGM module died at 67K and I'm still confused about that. Two real wheel bearing assemblies died at 70K and the thing eats my expensive V-rated tires like cookies even though I drive conservatively and its perfectly aligned. I would welcome some insights on the XC 90 in the vintage described relative to any major service/functional liabilities that may be beginning to emerge as patterns. Discussion relative to power plant options and drive train/handling issues would be especially welcome. I'm new to this forum so I'll take points on posting-etiquette as well.
