What about us V-90 owners?
Thanks . There is not a listing in the section for the V90 wagon only the S90 sedan. Also why not list the 900 and 90 series cars all as one? the 95-97 960's and the 97-98 90's are the same cars they were just rebadged in mid 97.
I agree. However, 960/S90/V90 owners are weird people. They purchased the top of the line Volvo and those owners think they purchased a Volvo branded Mercedes. They are to good to work on their own cars, there are so few oem parts available other than at the steeler it's a shame and there is not much you can do to mod them. They are old folks cars and there are even less V90's out there to make a "site division" for.
I usually post most of my post '95, 960 issues in the S90 section because you are right, that is all a S90 is, a later model 960. I agree, it would be nice to get the 960 stuff out of the 760 / 260 section since those cars are really nothing alike. I think it was a 6 cylinder thing more than a simular deal. :-/

First I might be older but have owned US muscle cars till I bought the V-90.
I liked the 6 because of the bottom end and it felt more like a V-8.
I do all of my own work up to the point that I get into the internal engine or trans stuff. Then only because I no longer have the tools or a place to do the work.
I also own a 740 Turbo Wagon and everything on the body from the firewall back almost will interchange.
The shell of the 960 /90's is the same one used in the 740,760,940 so---.
I am quite frustrated however in the lack of aftermarket performance upgrades for the 960/90 series cars. The 6 should be a real fire breather with a little work and with the suspension design these should be real handlers. Problem is you have to fabricate EVERYTHING if you want more performance here in the USA! In Europe I understand there is some stuff available but how to get it here when you can't even read the websites is the ?
Bottom line the 700, 900 and 90 series cars should be in a forum together as they are so similar across the board.

I understand your point but the fact that there are so few post in the 960 section shows that most of the owers of these cars are not tinkerers. I have purchased 3 of them and as stated, I'm considering getting a V90. It's the rumiest wagon I know of.
Though the body is almost the same from the firewall back, very few parts are interchangable. I to like the preformance but it would be nice to be able to add a little more kick to it. However, I have set a few travel records in my 960.
The car in incredible IMO. I love it. Very smooth, handles well, had some power in the S setting, quiet, and for the most part, trouble free. Could be the best all around car that Volvo has ever built. I did like my 740 GLE but it simply did NOT have the power that my 960 has. Also the 960 is knotched up a little in every way.
Have you ever heard of the cars that Paul Newman and David Letterman had?
