Default Wierd vibration/noise under acceleration?

Hello everybody!

First off, i'm not yet a Volvo owner but might be this week! Just went to see a clean S90 98, with 190 000km, pretty much everything looks in order but one thing; when i went to test drive it, it starting making a small vibration or noise i cant remember exactly, under acceleration when it got in third gear. It seemed like it came from the rear right of the car, but as soon as the car shifted to 4th (or OD), it stopped and rode like a charm. Do you guys think i should be worried to drive it back home ~130 km, until i can do a complete checkup and find the culprit?

Thanks!

I think it should be OK to drive till you get it home. Of course, if it gets worse, you shouldn't force the issue.

Vibration can be due to many reasons. It can be as simple as a tire out of balance, or as bad as a transmission or a propeller-shaft. Most causes should not deteriorate as quickly as 70 miles.
