Bought a second hand v40 2ltr yesterday, great little car. Got it on the cheap side as the old owner said it some issues. (Name a car that doesn't ) So we took her to the shop and had the codes checked. Came up with a couple. Drive Position Sensor, and the other ones were because the car was not at running temp, nor was it running. So the guy clear the codes, and I took her for a run around, and took it back. ECU scans clear of all codes.




The problem is: Hesitation on acceleration, up to 40km/h (25 Mph) and the it starts to surge at about 55-60 Km/h (35-37 Mph). I thought fuel pump, but after taking it for a good drive (well as much as I could enjoy ) It has no issues in rev and applying power to the engine without dropping or stalling. It is not stalling at all.
