2000 v40 1.9T stalls at stop signs and traffic light

My volvo v40 stalls at traffic lights and stop signs. Reading forum and other places found that it might be IAC. Anyone got other recommendations on this problem. Ordered repair man yesterday.

I have had this as a chronic but unpredictable issue for may years with my 1988 Volvo GL, and have tried so many repairs. Did you find a solution that worked? I'd be very grateful to know.
