Default 2001 Volvo v40 1.9L Coolant type?

Other than OEM, what is similar or what should I use? Zerex G-48, Prestone Univeral CorGuard, or?

you can use a "green" ethylene glycol coolant - just avoid the orange "Dex-Cool" types. If you decide to do a flush, also avoid chemical flushes - just use distilled water. Also use a 50/50 mix with distilled water for best all around performance
